Nipro Corporation
Nipro Corporation is a Japanese group founded in 1954, headquartered in Osaka. Originally a pharmaceutical glass manufacturer, it has progressively diversified into a comprehensive medical manufacturer active across three pillars: medical devices (dialysis, injection and infusion products), pharmaceuticals (oral and injectable drugs) and pharma packaging.
Within its pharma packaging division, Nipro produces Type I borosilicate glass in tube form, as well as ampoules, vials and cartridges for pharmaceutical use, alongside rubber closure components and machinery for forming and inspecting vials, ampoules and syringes.
The group also manufactures pre-fillable glass and plastic syringes and complete injection kits.
These activities are supported by a network of sales offices and manufacturing plants spanning Japan, the Americas, Europe and the rest of Asia, with over 39,000 employees on a consolidated basis.
Unlike pure-play glass manufacturers such as Stevanato Group, Nipro maintains an integrated business model combining glass, devices and pharmaceuticals within the same group.

Nissha Metallizing Solutions Group
Nissha Metallizing Solutions Group is the world leader in the production of metallized paper for labels and flexible packaging, headquartered in Genk, Belgium. The company was founded in 1975 as Alupa, a spin-off of a Belgian printing house, and grew through a series of acquisitions, forming AR Metallizing with Italy's Rotoflex, then Vacumet (USA) and Málaga Produtos Metalizados (Brazil), before becoming, since 2015, a wholly owned subsidiary of Japan's Nissha Co., Ltd., listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
The company produces metallized paper through a proprietary direct vacuum metallization process, in which vaporised aluminium is deposited directly onto paper, resulting in a material free of fossil-based plastic films but with excellent barrier properties against moisture, light and oxygen, alongside a premium glossy appearance.
The product serves as a sustainable alternative to aluminium film and foil in the packaging and labelling of beverages (notably beer), food, cosmetics, electronics, tobacco and luxury goods.
The group operates five production sites in Belgium, Italy, Germany, the United States and Brazil, with over 700 employees and a commercial network active in around 80 countries; recent collaborations include work with Tetra Pak on paper-based aseptic cartons.
