UPM Adhesive Materials
UPM Adhesive Materials is the current name (since June 2025) of the business area of the Finnish group UPM-Kymmene Corporation previously known as UPM Raflatac, headquartered in Tampere. The name change reflects a growth strategy extending beyond traditional label materials into graphics solutions and specialty tapes: the historic UPM Raflatac™ brand remains in use as the product line for label materials.
Expansion into the graphics segment has been driven by the acquisitions of AMC AG, Grafityp and Metamark, strengthening the company's presence in applications such as signage, vehicle wrapping and decorative materials, alongside its traditional core business of self-adhesive labels for beverages, pharmaceuticals, logistics and digital printing.
The business area, is part of the wider UPM forest-industry group.
UPM Adhesive Materials è la denominazione attuale (dal giugno 2025) della business area del gruppo finlandese UPM-Kymmene Corporation precedentemente nota come UPM Raflatac, con sede a Tampere. Il cambio di nome riflette una strategia di crescita che va oltre i tradizionali materiali per etichette, verso le soluzioni grafiche (graphics solutions) e i nastri speciali (specialty tapes): il marchio storico UPM Raflatac™ resta comunque in uso come linea di prodotto per i materiali da etichetta.
L'espansione nel segmento grafico è stata sostenuta dalle acquisizioni di AMC AG, Grafityp e Metamark, rafforzando la presenza dell'azienda in applicazioni quali segnaletica, grafica per veicoli e materiali decorativi, oltre al tradizionale core business delle etichette autoadesive per bevande, farmaceutico, logistica e stampa digitale.
La business area, fa parte del più ampio gruppo forestale/industriale UPM.
