Guidelines
Operational tools that translate the Observatory’s analytical knowledge base into design-oriented guidance for designers and companies, supporting the development of innovative, responsible packaging solutions aligned with the challenges of transition.
The toolkit consists of 33 guidelines, organised into 8 areas of responsibility that reflect the main domains of packaging impact within the extended system: from product performance to brand communication, from supply chain management to end-user experience, up to environmental, social, and territorial implications.
Rather than prescribing predefined solutions, the Guidelines provide decision-making frameworks for assessing materials, morphologies, digital technologies, life cycle impacts, and alignment with the regulatory framework.
The section is intended for those who aim to develop packaging solutions capable of supporting the sector's circular and digital transition, integrating design responsibility, technological innovation, and a systemic vision.
