Morphologies

Main morphologies of packaging: structural typologies, formal configurations, and design solutions adopted within packaging systems.

The analysis of morphologies enables observation of how form, structure, and the articulation of components influence functional performance, product protection, logistical dynamics, and user interaction.

Considered in relation to materials, production processes, and design strategies, morphologies represent a key dimension for understanding the evolution of packaging solutions and the transformations currently affecting the packaging sector.

Folding Carton
Paperboard box with a substantially rectangular cross-section, obtained by folding a pre-cut paperboard sheet and gluing it along the overlapping edge. It has openings at the top and bottom that are closed with flaps, reverse or straight tucks, and locks.
Astuccio
Confezione di cartoncino a sezione sostanzialmente rettangolare, ottenuta ripiegando un cartoncino pre-tagliato e incollandolo su un bordo di sovrapposizione.
