Morphologies


    Main morphologies of packaging: structural typologies, formal configurations, and design solutions adopted within packaging systems.

    The analysis of morphologies enables observation of how form, structure, and the articulation of components influence functional performance, product protection, logistical dynamics, and user interaction.

    Pot
    A small to medium-sized rigid or semi-rigid container with an opening diameter equal to or greater than the body diameter (no neck or shoulders). It is commonly manufactured from plastic, glass, or ceramic materials.

    A packaging format designed for maximum accessibility, ideal for viscous, creamy, or pasty products. It differs from a jar due to its straight or tapered sidewalls and often features press-on lids or heat-sealed foil membranes (e.g., yogurt pots, cosmetic creams, or condiments).

    Vasetto
    Contenitore rigido o semirigido di piccole o medie dimensioni, caratterizzato da un’imboccatura la cui ampiezza coincide con il diametro massimo del corpo (assenza di collo e spalle). È tipicamente realizzato in plastica, vetro o ceramica.

    Formato progettato per un accesso totale al contenuto, ideale per prodotti densi, cremosi o pastosi. Si distingue dal barattolo (jar) per il profilo generalmente più semplice e per sistemi di chiusura che spesso includono sigilli a strappo o tappi a pressione (es. vasetti di yogurt, creme cosmetiche, salse).
