Qualitative and quantitative alteration of the environment, understood as the set of natural resources and human activities related to them, resulting from the implementation of plans, programs or projects.
Environmental impact can be both positive and negative and concerns various aspects, including:
Ecosystems: changes in biodiversity and natural habitats.
Air and water quality: changes in pollution levels.
Soil: changes in the composition and use of the territory.
Climate: influence on local and global climate models.
