Ryp Labs (StixFresh)
Ryp Labs, Inc. is a US company based in Bothell, Washington, founded in 2017 as StixFresh USA, Inc. by CEO and co-founder Moody Soliman, and renamed Ryp Labs in 2021. It develops biomimicry technologies to reduce food waste: its flagship product, StixFresh, is a sticker, the size of a standard label already applied to fruit, coated with a natural bioactive formulation that works in the vapour phase, inhibiting fungal growth and slowing ripening without direct contact with the produce, extending shelf life by 40% to 100% depending on conditions of use (up to 14 extra days on strawberries, blueberries, mangoes, dragon fruit and other perishable fruit).
In January 2026 the company also launched Shelf Defense, a sachet combining an ethylene inhibitor with its proprietary antifungal formula.
Headquartered in Bothell with a European office in Portugal, Ryp Labs has raised a total of $19.38 million from investors including King Philanthropies, BCP Capital and Lineage's Food Chain Innovation Challenge, and is in a phase of rapid commercial expansion, including a recent partnership for the Japanese market with distributor Sanyo Trading.
