RePack
RePack is a Finnish company with a historic base in Helsinki, founded in 2011 (under the legal name Plan B From Outer Space) by Jonne Hellgren and Petri Piirainen, a pioneer of reusable e-commerce packaging (“reuse as a service”) inspired by the Nordic bottle-deposit system: RePack bags, returned free of charge by post after use, are washed and put back into circulation for up to around 20 cycles, earning the reuser a discount voucher. In May 2024 the company was acquired by Oceansix (a recycling group, formerly K.B. Recycling Industries), and subsequently repositioned itself around “circular tech infrastructure”: packaging, pan-European reverse logistics and software dedicated specifically to trade-in and resale of refurbished electronic devices, with clients such as Swappie. The RePack Design brand (Espoo, Finland, since 2018) is a separate packaging design agency, not affiliated with this company.
Changes to the company and its business model
RePack was acquired by Oceansix (formerly K.B. Recycling Industries) on 15 May 2024.
At the same time, the company repositioned its focus, shifting from a reusable packaging service aimed primarily at the fashion and general e-commerce sectors to an infrastructure dedicated to the world of refurbished electronics (“Circular Tech Infrastructure”).

Variazione societaria e di business model
RePack è stata acquisita da Oceansix (già K.B. Recycling Industries) il 15 maggio 2024.
Contestualmente l'azienda ha riposizionato il proprio focus, passando da un servizio di packaging riutilizzabile rivolto principalmente a moda ed e-commerce generalista a un'infrastruttura dedicata al mondo dell'elettronica ricondizionata (“Circular Tech Infrastructure”).
