Recyda
Recyda GmbH is a German start-up based in Freiburg im Breisgau, founded in March 2020 by Vivian Loftin, Christian Knobloch and Anna Zießow (the name stands for “Recyclability Database”).
It develops SaaS software that centralises information — often fragmented at national level — on packaging recycling regulations and collection/recycling infrastructure, allowing companies across the value chain to quickly assess the recyclability of their packaging, calculate Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) and eco-modulation costs, and generate compliance-ready reports for regulations such as the EU's PPWR. The software is used by consumer-goods manufacturers and retailers to optimise packaging design and reduce compliance risk. In 2025 Recyda partnered with the US Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR) to power its new APR Design Assessment Tool.

Sviluppa un software SaaS che centralizza le informazioni, spesso frammentate a livello nazionale, su normative e infrastrutture di raccolta/riciclo degli imballaggi, permettendo alle aziende lungo la catena del valore di valutare in modo rapido la riciclabilità dei propri imballaggi, calcolare i costi di Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) ed eco-modulazione, e generare report pronti per la conformità a normative come il PPWR europeo.
Il software è utilizzato da produttori di beni di consumo e retailer per ottimizzare il design degli imballaggi e ridurre i rischi di non conformità.
Nel 2025 Recyda ha stretto una partnership con l'Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR) statunitense per alimentare il loro nuovo APR Design Assessment Tool.
