reCIRCLE AG is a Swiss company based in Bern, founded in August 2016 by Jeannette Morath.
It developed Switzerland's first reusable packaging system for takeaway catering: washable containers (BOXes) and cups made from PBT and Tritan, lent out to network partners (restaurants, canteens, cafés, retail chains) under a “lunchbox as a service” model.
End customers collect a container, return it at any network partner after use, and either get their deposit back or reuse it again.
Since 2020 the system has expanded into Germany through a franchise agreement with the start-up Elithro GmbH, and is now active across a network spanning several European countries.
reCIRCLE received the Swiss Economic Award in 2020.
The company also offers consulting and training to catering businesses on reducing single-use packaging waste.

Ha sviluppato il primo sistema svizzero di packaging riutilizzabile per la ristorazione da asporto: contenitori (BOX) e bicchieri lavabili in PBT e Tritan, offerti in comodato ai partner della rete (ristoranti, mense, bar, catene GDO) secondo un modello “lunchbox as a service”.
Il cliente finale preleva il contenitore, lo restituisce presso un punto della rete dopo l'uso e riceve indietro la cauzione oppure lo riutilizza.
Dal 2020 il sistema si è esteso alla Germania tramite un accordo di franchising con la start-up Elithro GmbH, ed è oggi attivo in una rete che copre diversi paesi europei.
Nel 2020 reCIRCLE ha ricevuto lo Swiss Economic Award.
L'azienda offre inoltre consulenza e formazione alle imprese della ristorazione sulla riduzione dei rifiuti da imballaggio monouso.
