Rebo
REBO is a Swiss start-up based in Geneva, founded by a team of former Procter & Gamble managers under the legal name Re-Company SA.
It designs and sells “smart” reusable stainless-steel water bottles (the REBO SMART and REBO GO ranges), fitted with NFC technology and a level sensor that, via the REBO app, track water intake and send personalised hydration reminders.
Its business model combines consumer hardware with environmental impact: for every bottle “drunk”, the company funds — through its partner Plastic Bank — the collection of ocean-bound plastic in disadvantaged communities in Haiti, Brazil, the Philippines and Indonesia, paying collectors a premium (“Social Plastic”) rate above market value.
REBO has run co-branded collaborations (adidas x Parley) and also offers customisable corporate-gifting lines for clients such as Nestlé and McKinsey.
