Paramelt

    Paramelt B.V. is a Dutch company based in Heerhugowaard, founded in 1898 as a small wax manufacturer, now a world leader in specialty waxes and a fast-growing manufacturer of industrial adhesives and packaging coatings in Europe. Part of the German family-owned Ter Group (active since 1908, owned by the Westphal family, with 2024 revenue of around €920 million), Paramelt operates 8 production sites across the Netherlands, the UK, the US and China, with around 500 employees, serving customers in more than 80 countries.
    Its packaging portfolio includes: EVA-based Plastomelt™ and metallocene-based Excelta™ hot melts for sealing boxes, cartons and trays; high-speed adhesives (casein, hybrid, synthetic or starch-based) for glass bottle labelling; hot melt coatings for heat-sealing thermoformed dairy cups with in-mould labelling; water-based coatings for heat-sealing dairy lidding and pharmaceutical blister packaging; and vegetable wax-based coatings for renewable, compostable packaging solutions.
    Paramelt also supplies primers and the Aquaseal range of water-based polyolefin dispersions.
