INAPI Chile
INAPI – the National Institute of Industrial Property – is the Chilean public body responsible for industrial property. It manages procedures, registries and services related to trademarks, patents, industrial designs, utility models, geographical indications, appellations of origin and other forms of industrial protection. Within the packaging system, it does not operate as a productive actor, but as a regulatory, enabling and knowledge-transfer institution: it helps define the legal conditions through which packaging innovations, technical solutions, designs, smart technologies, materials, closure systems, traceability devices and brand identities can be protected, valorised and transferred. Its relevance therefore concerns the regulatory and strategic dimension of the extended packaging system, where industrial property becomes an infrastructure for innovation, competitiveness, knowledge protection and the controlled circulation of design solutions.
INAPI – Instituto Nacional de Propiedad Industrial è l’ente pubblico cileno responsabile della proprietà industriale. Gestisce e amministra procedure, registri e servizi relativi a marchi, brevetti, disegni industriali, modelli di utilità, indicazioni geografiche, denominazioni di origine e altre forme di tutela industriale. Nel packaging system non opera come attore produttivo, ma come soggetto regolativo, abilitante e di trasferimento della conoscenza: contribuisce a definire le condizioni giuridiche attraverso cui innovazioni di packaging, soluzioni tecniche, design, tecnologie smart, materiali, sistemi di chiusura, dispositivi di tracciabilità e identità di marca possono essere protetti, valorizzati e resi trasferibili. La sua rilevanza riguarda quindi la dimensione normativa e strategica dell’extended packaging system, in cui la proprietà industriale diventa infrastruttura per innovazione, competitività, tutela della conoscenza e circolazione controllata delle soluzioni progettuali.
