Owner: The Advanced Design Unit (ADU) is part of the Department of Architecture at Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna. The primary objectives pursued by ADU are research and teaching, which are inseparable activities in the pursuit of critical awareness, open to dialogue and cultural interaction. 

This privacy policy will explain how our organization uses the personal data we collect from you when you use our website.

What data do we collect? 

ADU collects the following data: 

  • Personal identification information (Name, email address, phone number, company)
  • Case studies data useful for research purpose.

Personal Data may be freely provided by the User or, in the case of Usage Data, automatically collected during the use of this Application. 

Unless otherwise specified, all Data requested by this Application are mandatory. If the User refuses to communicate them, it may be impossible for this Application to provide the Service. In the cases in which this Application indicates some Data as optional, the Users are free to refrain from communicating such Data, without this having any consequence on the availability of the Service or its operation. 

Users who may have doubts as to which Data is mandatory are encouraged to contact the Data Controller. The possible use of Cookies – or of other tracking tools – by this Application or by the owners of third party services used by this Application, unless otherwise specified, has the purpose of providing the Service requested by the User, in addition to the further purposes described in this document and in the Cookie Policy, if available. 

The User assumes responsibility for the Personal Data of third parties obtained, published or shared through this Application and guarantees to have the right to communicate or disseminate them, freeing the Owner from any liability towards third parties. 

How do we collect your data and why? 

You directly provide ADU with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you: 

  • Register online to attend a live event or subscribe to a newsletter. 
  • Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies 
  • Register to the website in order to access special contents. 

 

How do we store your data? 

ADU (the Owner), takes appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, or unauthorized destruction of the Data.
The Data processing is carried out using computers and/or IT enabled tools, following organizational procedures and modes strictly related to the purposes indicated. In addition to the Owner, in some cases, the Data may be accessible to certain types of persons in charge, involved with the operation of this Application (administration, marketing, legal, system administration) or external parties (such as third-party technical service providers, mail carriers, hosting providers, IT companies) appointed, if necessary, as Data Processors by the Owner. The updated list of these parties may be requested from the Owner at any time. 

The Owner will keep your Personal Data as long as research activities keep going or you request your personal data to be removed.

The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that ADU restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions. 

The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to ADU’s processing of your personal data, under certain conditions. 

The right to data portability – You have the right to request that ADU transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
