DESCRIZIONE

IMPATTI E RISULTATI

Technological: The project developed smart energy-monitoring solutions and optimization algorithms for woodworking machines, enabling real-time insight into consumption and process performance. The ability to identify optimal parameter mixes improves precision, reduces defects, and supports sustainable, high-efficiency machining.
Process: Simulation models and structured energy-management strategies streamline production by reducing waste, improving resource allocation, and minimizing reliance on physical trials. Processes become more predictable, efficient, and aligned with sustainability goals.
Human–Machine Interaction: User-centered interfaces improve operator understanding of energy behavior and machine status. Increased transparency and psychological acceptance strengthen trust and reduce cognitive load, supporting more intuitive and socially sustainable work environments.
Methodological: A coherent methodology combines smart monitoring, process modeling, and algorithmic optimization. The framework standardizes how energy use, machining variables, and sustainability criteria are assessed, enabling scalable and replicable improvements.
Systemic: The project fosters a collaborative ecosystem of woodworkers equipped with accessible tools for monitoring, optimization, and shared learning. This strengthens resilience and democratizes advanced capabilities typically limited to larger industrial players.
Environmental: Energy-saving strategies and optimized machining parameters reduce resource consumption, waste generation, and tool turnover. Environmental criteria embedded in process decisions support a transition toward more sustainable and responsible woodworking production.
