Mariana Amatullo

Associate Professor, Parsons School of Design

Mariana Amatullo is an Associate Professor of Strategic Design and Management in The School of Design Strategies at Parsons School of Design, The New School, New York. Prior to joining The New School, she co-founded and led the award-winning social innovation department, Designmatters at ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, California. Currently Mariana serves as President of Cumulus, the International Association of Universities and Colleges of Art, Design and Media and as a Vice Provost in the senior administration of The New School. Mariana is the recipient of the inaugural 2012 DELL Social Innovation Award for Outstanding Social Innovation Education; a Salzburg Global Fellow, and al Fellow with the Royal Society of the Art. Mariana’s research focuses on the role of a design attitude as a cognitive approach to social innovation and organizational learning. Among several publications in the works, she is a co-editor (with Bryan Boyer, Jennifer May and Andrew Shea) of Design for Social Innovation.

Frank Spencer

Frank is a published author and speaker, delivering presentations and workshops around the globe. He holds a MA in Strategic Foresight from Regent University. With a strong background in both business and academic foresight, Frank was the creator and lead instructor of The Futures Institute: Shaping The Future Now at the Duke University Talent Identification Program Institute. He has worked on foresight for companies like Kraft, Mars, and Marriott. Frank also led the effort to establish foresight as a leadership competency across The Walt Disney Company. Frank is co-founder of The Futures School, a global development platform with a mission to democratize foresight. He is also founder of Kedge – a foresight, innovation, creativity and strategic design firm.

Founder and Director of the Research Centre of the European Institute of Design CRIED, Co-founder and Director of Design Innovation, Milan, Gran Canarias. Founder of Design-Research in Milan, he was Associate Professor in Bionics and Design at the University of Montreal. Academic Leader and Visiting Professor at TEC, Tecnológico de Monterrey, MX. Professor of Creativity and Design at IULM University, Milan and since 2014 he has been Professor of Cognitive Artifacts at Sister Orsola Benincasa University, Naples.

Philosopher and essayist, culture innovation advisor and MIT Connection Science fellow (Boston), Cosimo Accoto has developed his professional career in strategic management consulting and first in Data Industry. Already MIT research affiliate, Accoto focuses its techno-cultural research on: software philosophy, data science, artificial intelligence, platform logic, blockchain technology, quantum computation. Author of several essays including: Mani, menti, mercati. Automazione e ominazione tra machine experience e machine economy (in Il primato delle tecnologie, Mimesis 2020); Il mondo ex machina. Gregory is the creator of the iGNITE Convergence Program in design, engineering and finance for innovation and new product development having been delivered to 1000’s globally since it’s creation in 2005; founder of iGNITIATE, an innovation strategy and industrial design firm specializing in disruptive design and also the co-founder of the international, Elle Decor and Architectural Digest, award-winning design brand gregorysung. Polletta is a true 21st-century Renaissance man whose R&D, start-ups and designs span many fields, including furniture, lighting, objects, nanotechnology, architecture ( where he and his team designed the worlds 1st moving pin facade system, TOPIADE for the Louis Vuitton Architecture Dept in 2006 ), medical device technology, computer memory devices, mobile phones, software, and consumer product packaging for firms such as Guzzini, Roche Bobois, Fujitsu, Louis-Vuitton, Pfizer and many others.
Prior to iGNITIATE, Gregory worked at the legendary Xerox PARC Labs, the American Management System Center for Advanced Technology, DARPA / Lawrence Livermore National Labs and many others. Gregory was named the 2014 most inspirational professor at France’s Grande Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées ENPC PhD Engineering and MBA program / d.school; Parsons School of Design, Paris; the Royal College of Art, London; the Lucerne School of Art and Design, Switzerland and many others on industrial design, strategic management, R&D methods, leadership, entrepreneurship, new product development and innovation.

Anna Lottersberger

Founder at LAND Education

Anna Lottersberger is co-founder of LAND education and responsible for the Academic Development at RUFA – Rome University of Fine Arts. She holds a Ph.D. in Design from Politecnico di Milano, an MA in Fashion Design and a BA in Design. Anna worked with Culti, Dolce&Gabbana and Loro Piana and co-founded the brand Il Sistema degli Oggetti. She collaborated with the start-up Incubators Polihub and Fashion Technology Accelerator. She lectured in Italy, Lebanon, China, and Singapore, where she was the Head of the School of Fashion and Design at MDIS, before joining Domus Academy as the Head of Fashion Cluster. Anna designed and executed +50 design-driven workshops and hackathons with private and public organizations.

Carlo Giardinetti

Senior Advisor and Professor in Leadership and Executive Education

Carlo is the Sustainability Lead and Leadership Senior Advisor at Deloitte Consulting Switzerland. He is also the Dean of Executive Education and Global Outreach at Franklin University Switzerland. His 25 years’ experience is multi-disciplinary, from professional footballer, Hotel and Resort General Manager, Harvard Instructor, Learning Designer, Leadership Coach and Sustainability Senior Advisor. Carlo contributes today to several global sustainability coalitions and initiatives, including at the Vatican and the UN, focused on identifying new and better micro and macro indicators for ESG and broader economic measurements. Carlo is also a certified multi-stakeholder facilitator, supporting organizations and their people in their sustainability and impact transformation journeys. Carlo is currently conducting a research on financing net-zero strategies for organizations.
